Sierra Leone Embassy in Cairo Attracts Investors

In a move to attract investors, the Sierra Leone Embassy in Cairo has paid a high-level visit to Ezaby Medicals in Nasser City Cairo.

The primary focus of the visit is to enhance economic cooperation between Sierra Leone and Egypt and to enhance the drive to implementing the action points reached at during the historic visit made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prof. David John Francis from August 23-26 2021.

During the meeting, the Counselor/Head of Chancery Samuel Alie Kargbo informed representatives of Ezaby Medicals that Sierra Leone Embassy has the mandate of promoting opportunities in the country.

“Coordinating and facilitating programs between credible investors and their partners in Sierra Leone,” he said. He further maintained that the government of Sierra Leone is looking forward to strengthening diplomatic, economic and development cooperation as well as the establishment of sustainable commercial relations with the Egyptian business community. He further informed that Sierra Leone is enjoying a Stable form of governance and the Government of Sierra Leone is dedicated to the principle of free enterprise

Mr. Kargbo expressed the government’s desire to provide helpful investment climate for foreign investors, noting that the Government of Sierra Leone is poised to provide the enabling environment upon which viable investment will thrive.

The General Manager of Ezaby Medical, Mohamed El Ezaby, expressed delight to work  with the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Cairo.  He asserted that since its establishment in 1989, Ezaby Medical has been providing a wide array of healthcare solutions from all parts of the world to meet the challenging healthcare demands of modern times. The company provides medical equipment for Operating Theater, Sterilization, Urology & physiotherapy, Intensive Care Unit, National Intensive Care Units, Radiology, Dental Operations, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Aesthetics, Medical Furniture, and more.  

In response to the statement of Mohamed El Ezaby, the Head of Chancery maintained that the Embassy has been holding meetings with Egyptian investors, adding that they are currently in touch with many groups of companies that are preparing to make a business visit to Sierra Leone. He therefore encouraged Ezaby Medicals to seize the opportunity to be part of the team that will visit Sierra Leone.
