Afrimoney, Chicken Town Launch Free Delivery Promo

Afrimoney and Chicken Town have partnered to promote digital payments by offering free delivery to customers who pay using Afrimoney. The promotion, launched on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Chicken Town’s headquarters on Old Railway Line, runs through July 31.

Dubbed “Pay with Afrimoney and Get Free Delivery,” the initiative aims to drive mobile money usage and enhance convenience during Sierra Leone’s rainy season. Customers can access the offer by calling 392, placing an order, and paying via Afrimoney—after which meals will be delivered without any delivery fee.

John Konteh, Afrimoney’s Marketing Director, said the promotion reflects the global shift toward cashless transactions. “There are around 2 billion registered mobile money users worldwide,” he noted. “In Sierra Leone, mobile money penetration in Freetown has reached 100%.”

Afrimoney has set a target of 2,000 mobile-powered food orders before the campaign ends. Konteh added that the partnership with Chicken Town is part of a broader plan to roll out similar collaborations nationwide.

Chicken Town’s Marketing Lead, Nathalie Mansaray, said the promotion aligns with the brand’s goal of enhancing customer experience. “This helps us deliver more than just good food—it’s about convenience and innovation,” she said.

With mobile payments on the rise, the Afrimoney-Chicken Town partnership is expected to boost digital adoption while redefining customer service in Freetown’s fast-growing food industry.
