The Ministry of Finance has dismissed reports circulating on social media alleging a 100% increase in teachers’ salaries, describing the claims as false and not reflected in the FY2026 Supplementary Government Budget Speech.
In a public clarification, the Ministry urged citizens to ignore misleading information and rely only on updates released through its official communication channels. The Ministry also encouraged the public to verify information before sharing it to prevent the spread of misinformation.
