The ongoing alleged theft case involving David Kamara a security and Martin Lucious a businessman made their final appearance before Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of Pademba Road Magistrate Court No.1 on Monday, 8th December, 2025,following their arrest on July 6 and 7 2025, for offences related to a major boutique theft.
David Kamara, a former security guard at Bicky’s Place Boutique located at No. 48 Liverpool Street, Freetown, faces eight counts charges of larceny by a servant, contrary to Section 17(1)(a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
He is accused of stealing various boutique items including, Assorted clothes valued at NLe 260,160,Assorted shoes worth NLe 292,100, Bags valued NLe 53,150,12 glasses worth NLe 10,200,13 purses totaling NLe 8,250 All items belonged to businesswoman Binta Tejan Kella.His co-accused, Martin Lucious, is charged with receiving stolen goods contrary to Section 33(1) of the same Act. He allegedly bought the stolen items, including:15 pairs of assorted sneakers valued at NLe 10,000, 101 pairs of sandals worth NLe 50,500 and 61 pieces of ladies’ wear valued at NLe 22,265
The Chief Superintendent of Police T.B Zizer Esq led his witnesses and the file was withdrawn for ruling
Meanwhile, magistrate Jah stated that having examined the evidence adduced so far before him and he is of the view that the prosecution has adduced sufficient evidence to warrant a commital of the matter to the High Court.
Therefore, he committed both defendants to the High Court for further trial and their bail continue
