In a major breakthrough against international drug trafficking, officers of the National Revenue Authority (NRA) Customs Services Department have seized a significant consignment of suspected cocaine at the Jendema Border Crossing between Sierra Leone and Liberia.
According to official reports, the operation was conducted under the leadership of Mujiru I.I. Kallon, Manager of the Customs Services Department at the Jendema Border Crossing Point and Head of Border Operations for Sierra Leone. The heightened security measures led to the arrest of Laurancia Kolie, a Guinean national traveling with passport number 005017470, who was found in possession of 91 parcels of a white substance believed to be cocaine.
Authorities say the suspect had passed through several checkpoints before being intercepted by NRA customs officers during a final inspection. The narcotics were reportedly hidden within her personal luggage in a sophisticated concealment method intended to evade detection.
Following the arrest, both the suspect and the seized substance were immediately handed over to the Mano River Police Division for further investigation and possible prosecution
