Lebanese Nationals Linked to Fugitive Drug Lord Jos Leijdekkers in Sierra Leone Property Deals

An investigation by The Watch Newspaper has uncovered connections between certain Lebanese nationals in Sierra Leone and internationally wanted Dutch drug lord Jos Leijdekkers, raising serious concerns about illicit financial operations within the country.
Sources familiar with the investigation indicate that a key Lebanese figure has allegedly been involved in acquiring properties on behalf of Leijdekkers, who is currently on the run and wanted by international authorities for his role in large-scale drug trafficking.
Further probing has revealed the involvement of several prominent individuals believed to have maintained business ties with Leijdekkers, including those who allegedly facilitated the purchase of real estate on his behalf within Sierra Leone.
Attempts to obtain comments from those named in the investigation were met with silence. According to a credible source, a senior official at State House has advised one of the individual to avoid media engagement regarding the matter.
In keeping with journalistic standards of fairness and balance, The Watch reached out to the individuals in question to offer them an opportunity to respond. However, they declined to answer questions or clarify their alleged involvement.
The potential connection between a global fugitive and local actors underscores the need for increased vigilance and scrutiny by law enforcement and regulatory agencies in Sierra Leone.
