LRMG Marks Historic Premier League Finale with Record $180,000 Sponsorship

The 2025/2026 Leone Rock Premier League officially came to a memorable close at the Southern Arena Stadium in Bo, where newly crowned champions Bo Rangers celebrated a remarkable season in front of football fans, government officials, corporate partners, and distinguished guests.

The grand finale, which featured Bo Rangers and Mighty Blackpool, was more than just the final fixture of the season. It was a celebration of the continued growth of Sierra Leonean football and the enduring partnership between the Sierra Leone Premier League Board and Leone Rock Metal Group, whose commitment to sports development has reached unprecedented heights.

For the 2025/2026 season, Leone Rock Metal Group increased its sponsorship of the Leone Rock Premier League to US$180,000, reinforcing its position as the country’s leading private-sector investor in football. The increased investment demonstrates the company’s commitment to nurturing local talent, promoting youth development, and strengthening communities through sport.

Representing Leone Rock Metal Group, Administrative Manager Mohamed Fofanah reaffirmed the company’s dedication to supporting football as an essential tool for national development. Speaking on behalf of the company during the closing ceremony, he emphasized that Leone Rock’s investment in the Premier League reflects its broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) vision, which focuses on empowering communities, creating opportunities for young people, and contributing to sustainable national progress.

He noted that the company remains committed to partnering with institutions that positively impact the lives of Sierra Leoneans, adding that football continues to unite communities, inspire the youth, and showcase the country’s immense sporting potential.

The closing ceremony was attended by several high profile dignitaries, including the Director of Sports, Members of Parliament, representatives of Leone Rock Metal Group, football administrators, and other invited guests, all of whom witnessed the successful conclusion of another exciting Premier League season.

The presence of these national stakeholders underscored the growing importance of collaboration between government, the private sector, and football authorities in advancing sports development across Sierra Leone.

Bo Rangers, who had already secured the league title, concluded their championship campaign in front of their home supporters against Mighty Blackpool, bringing an end to a season filled with competitive football, emerging talents, and increased fan engagement.

Since assuming title sponsorship of the Premier League, Leone Rock Metal Group has continued to raise the standard of the competition through significant financial investment. The company’s sponsorship has grown steadily from US$80,000 under its earlier Memorandum of Understanding, to US$150,000, and now to a record breaking US$180,000 for the 2025/2026 season.

This continued increase reflects Leone Rock Metal Group’s confidence in the future of Sierra Leonean football and its belief that strategic investment in sports can create lasting social and economic benefits.

As the curtains fall on another successful Leone Rock Premier League season, the company’s landmark sponsorship continues to set the benchmark for corporate support in Sierra Leone’s sporting landscape. Beyond football, Leone Rock Metal Group’s investment serves as a powerful example of how private sector partnerships can drive national development, inspire future generations, and strengthen the foundation of sport throughout the country.
