Dr. Suphian Kalokoh Profers Golden Solution

Pro-Democracy Activist who happens to serve as Chairman of APC – USA, Dr. Suphian Kalokoh has described President Bio’s recent outburst in the well of Parliament with regards the government’s Feed Salone initiative as a fictitious misrepresentation of the facts, noting that the reduction made to the Feed Salone supplementary budget from LE 747 million to LE 91 million and the increment made to the Office of the President from LE 97 million to LE 255 million display signs of unseriousness towards the fight for food security for the people of Sierra Leone.
He made this disclosure during his second appearance on the popular Wi Yard night show. “Hearing Bio saying that the production of rice grew by 8%, that WFP now buys 30% of their rice from farmers in Sierra Leone, that importation of eggs has decreased by 21%, shows how dishonest the SLPP government is to the citizens”, the Investment Banker said, adding that Sierra Leoneans need to rethink a hundred times bigger than the lies the regime unleashes to score political points.
He said if he happens to be the Flagbearer of the All People’s Congress party and subsequently elected President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, he will firstly ensure that Sierra Leoneans are well prepared making sure that the infrastructure in terms of food security, education, energy,roads and proper healthcare are provided for the people of Sierra Leone to benefit from which is not the case under this regime, he maintained. He said Kambia alone can produce enough rice to feed the entire nation under his watch, with the required political will and investment which he said are lacking under the Bio led administration. He said those lies tell you how rotten the system is and the high level heartlessness of those running the affairs of the State. ” Finance Minister relies hugely on what is in the supplemenatry budgets rather than the actual annual budgets which should be used mainly to alleviate the sufferings of the people. According to him, there is so much capital roaming in banks around the world for serious governments to utilize by investing on their people but this government is only investing on their members and supporters instead of the country which is lagging behind especially in terms of food security. He made a clarion call for attention shift from subsistence farming to agri- business which he said would attract huge investments in agriculture and make our local farmers happy in the field as that would enable them to compete with other serious and well determined farmers in the sub region. He mentioned that our problem is that we are competing with the sub region giving investors the leverage to shift attention away from Sierra Leone to neighboring countries any time these investors get negative impression about the business atmosphere of Sierra Leone.
Dr. Suphian Kalokoh pointed out that with a comprehensive national agenda, and a team of five including the Chief of Staff, Finance Minister,Bank Governor, Financial Secretary and the Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority, the issues will be quickly addressed to make the lives of citizens much better than what has been going on within this regime.
Dr. Suphian Kalokoh has made it quit clear that there is no way the votes of citizens would not be counted like they did in the 2023 elections. ‘This time, every vote will be duly counted, we won’t allow our democratic credentials to be tainted anymore by the ruling SLPP”, he underscored, adding that the SLPP’s playbook would not change ahead of the elections that is why they are trying to push forward the PR system, having Statistics Sierra Leone to delay boundary delimitation exercises ahead of the elections like they did in 2023.
