Sierra Leone Commercial Bank Limited (SLCB) made a significant impact at the 2025 National Health Summit and Performance Awards held from May 15 to 17 at the Freetown International Conference Centre in Aberdeen.
The summit, themed “Improving Health Outcomes for All: Every Sierra Leonean Matters,” brought together healthcare professionals, policymakers, and development partners dedicated to enhancing quality and accessible healthcare nationwide.
At the event, SLCB demonstrated its commitment to national development by introducing its Mi Yone Tellers—mobile banking agents providing on-the-spot cashier services and financial guidance to attendees, including health workers and frontline staff.
This innovative approach highlights the bank’s belief that economic empowerment is essential to sustaining public health efforts. By integrating financial services with healthcare initiatives, SLCB aims to strengthen communities and support the Ministry of Health’s mission.
An SLCB representative stated, “We believe a financially informed population is crucial for a sustainable healthcare system. Bringing banking services closer to the people is part of our dedication to national wellbeing.”
The summit also provided opportunities for SLCB to engage with government ministries, healthcare leaders, and potential partners, fostering collaborations that extend beyond traditional banking.
SLCB’s participation at the summit underscores its role as a driver of innovation, inclusion, and impact in Sierra Leone’s development landscape, reinforcing its commitment to building a healthier and more prosperous nation.
