Two accused persons—a 22-year-old Tiller, Sheriff Freeman, and a 27-year-old Waiter, Ibrahim Kuyateh—have been remanded at the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown pending sentencing after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy and larceny.
The duo appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown on Monday, 4th May 2026. They face two counts: conspiracy to commit a felony, contrary to law, and larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on 17th April 2026 at We Yone Street, Juba Hill in the Western Area of Freetown, the accused allegedly conspired with other persons unknown to commit larceny.
On count two, it was further alleged that on the same date and location, the accused stole ten granite white plastic folding tables, all valued at Le20,000, property of Dr. Andrew Bamuse.
When the charges were read and explained to both accused persons, they pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor, Zizer, informed the court that the case was ready for prosecution.
Magistrate Jah refused bail, citing the circumstances of the case, and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre for record and sentencing. The matter was adjourned to 8th May 2026 for ruling.
