UBA Sierra Leone reaffirmed its strong support for the media as a proud partner of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) Annual National Media Awards held on 6th May, 2025 at the Bintumani International Conference Centre.
Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director, the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chiedu Ngene, expressed appreciation to SLAJ for organizing what he described as a remarkable Awards and Dinner event. He praised the vital role journalists play in promoting transparency and accountability, which are values that align with UBA Sierra Leone’s commitment to responsible corporate practice.
“UBA Sierra Leone holds the media in high esteem and recognizes the critical role it plays in shaping society,” COO said during his address.
Over the years, UBA Sierra Leone has built and maintained a strong and mutual relationship with the media.
As the evening celebrated excellence in journalism, UBA Sierra Leone’s continued presence and support stood as a clear reminder of the bank’s belief in a free, fair, and vibrant media landscape one that drives progress and empowers the people.
