The Consul of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Lebanon, Hashim Hashim has on Tuesday 1st November 2022, paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the Public Security Sector in Lebanon.
Receiving the head of the Consul of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Lebanon, the Director-General of the Public Security based in Lebanon, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, welcomed Consul Hashim-Hashim for the courtesy visit. Major General Ibrahim assured him of their fullest support and cooperation. He further lauded the Sierra Leonean Community based in Lebanon for remaining law abiding and committed in supporting the people of Lebanon. He also lauded the strong bilateral ties between the people of Sierra Leone and the people of Lebanon.
On his part, Consul Hashim-Hashim thanked the Director-General of the Public Security based in Lebanon, Major General Abbas Ibrahim for the kind reception showered on him. Consul Hashim-Hashim further applauded the authorities of Lebanon for maintaining the bilateral ties that is existing between the two countries. He also held fruitful discussions with the Director-General of the Public Security of Lebanon on the affairs of the Sierra Leonean community in Lebanon and more ways to regulate their situations.
At the end of the meeting, Consul Hashim presented a memorial shield to the Director General of the Public Security Sector in Lebanon in appreciation of his contributions to the safety and protection of Sierra Leoneans based in Lebanon.
Deputy Director General of the Lebanon Public Security, Mr. Asaad Dergham also updated Consul Hashim Hashim on the general security situation in Lebanon.
The courtesy visit was held at the office of the Director General of the Public Security Sector in Lebanon.
