SLPP Chairman for Constituency 125 Talks Tough

The SLPP Chairman for Constituency 125 has disclosed that the ruling SLPP party is determined to win the 2023 elections; including the Mayoral Election.
The SLPP chairman in charge of Constituency 125 made this disclosure on Saturday 27th August 2022, during a meeting of heads of Constituencies held in Freetown for the popularization of the Voter’s Registration Exercise.
As part of their plans to win the Mayoral seat, Mr. Alhaji Komba went on to say that the Sierra Leone People’s Party road Construction Tycoon Mohamed Gento Kamara will contest for the mayoral seat in the upcoming 2023 election, adding that, the SLPP party has never won a Mayoral seat in their 61 years in existence.
“I am optimistic that the Freetown Base philanthropist from Tonko Limba Chiefdom in the Kambia District will the Mayoral seat,” Alhaji Komba said, stating further that, Mohamed Gento is an asset to the nation. Mr. Alhaji Komba added that, with Mohamed Gento at the helm of affairs; more jobs will be created for Sierra Leoneans. The SLPP Constituency Chairman continued by stating that Mohamed Gento will also remodel the Freetown City Council to an effective operational and developmentally orientated institution.
“It is no secret that the Mayor of Freetown has not lived up to the expectations of the People of this country,” blasts Alhaji Komba, furthering that, the markets in the Freetown Municipality are in abysmal state with no proper sanitary policy put in place. He also referred to the incalculable strike action by FCC staff as poor managerial skills by the Mayor of Freetown. He further highlighted other administrative ineptitude of the FCC Mayor such as refusal to pay workers benefits, inadequate transportation system and financial scandal as lack of administrative discipline. He said Gento is very Passionate about humanity and has contributed immensely to the development of the country.
“Gento will break the decade old obstacle of the SLPP party to have a City Mayor,” said Alhaji Komba.
Upon hearing the news, many SLPP stalwarts jubilated and commended Gento for chosen the right path to liberate the people of the Freetown Municipality from the dictatorship of the sitting Mayor Aki-Sawyer.
