The Pan-African Youth Foundation on confirmation of the governing council have presented the African Personality of the Year Award to the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Memunatu Pratt for her outstanding contribution in improving the tourism and hospitality sector.
Receiving the award, Minister Pratt appreciated the organization for awards saying that it is very close to her heart especially coming from young people. She pinpointed that we should believe in Pan-Africanism because there is need for us to be united as Africans in our common values, history, heritage and the promotion of democratic values, which she said depicts the award.
She dedicated the award to the Almighty, President Bio for identifying her as a change maker and the hospitality sector. She committed the Ministry’s support to the organization and urged them to continue their good work.
The award adds to the plethora of awards Minister Pratt has received both locally and internationally for her tremendous strides in uplifting Sierra Leone’s tourism and hospitality sector.
