It has been several months since the reported kidnapping of Alan Jalloh and others, allegedly abducted in a black jeep in Freetown. Yet, the Sierra Leone Police have remained silent, issuing no official statement regarding the incident.
Sources close to the case have revealed to this publication that the kidnapping may be linked to Jos Leijdekkers, a drug lord wanted by the European Union. Family members of the victims have described the situation as deeply unfortunate and distressing.
Several individuals familiar with the case, who requested anonymity, expressed frustration over what they perceive as the government and police’s lack of urgency. “It feels like the authorities are not taking this matter seriously,” one source said.
Despite the passage of months, family members of those kidnapped remain missing, and no clear updates have been provided. The silence from law enforcement continues to fuel concern and speculation about the safety of the victims and the extent of cartel influence in the country.
